Last night we were at Wal*Mart doing our shopping, when I noticed a couple of birds flying around. This is not an unusual sight. Typically a few birds get inside the store and seem to live there for a while.
I started to wonder what happens to the birds? I determined there were a few possibilities.
- The birds fly back out on their own.
- The birds are chased out by employees, but this is probably not the case since Wal*Mart prides itself on efficiency and having employees run around the store chasing birds does not seem very efficient.
- At night, the employees test out the pellet guns and shoot the birds, this would not be the PETA approved method.
- Maybe they simply wait for the birds to die from starvation, dehydration, or exhaustion and then remove them.
Anybody have any other thoughts as to how they remove the birds? The next time I am at Wal*Mart I’ll have to ask them.
